Rec Games - (Non-Traditional)
Rec games is a collection of traditional PE games that incorporate concepts of team play, movement patterns, and fitness. The focus of the unit will be on effort and participation. The games in this unit will include crazy kickball, protect the fort, hector the protector, watusi, and others. Group Fitness/Weight Room - (Fitness) The focus of this unit will be on group fitness activities and weight room concepts. Group fitness activities will include TRX suspension training, zumba, and aerobics. Weight room workouts will include concepts of strength training and functional fitness, allowing students to build off previous work within the fitness category or learn new concepts. Students will be able to choose either option within the weight room unit.
