Grading & assessment
Lifetime Wellness is a participation based course with a majority of a student's grade comprised of their overall participation in class activities. Students are graded daily using the PE Daily Participation Rubric.
The primary assessment students will complete is their Lifelong Wellness Profile using the PLT4M program. This profile is designed to guide students through the process of assessing current fitness levels, creating individual goals, taking responsibility for achieving these goals, and a strategy for maintaining success. Each profile includes the student's growth in chosen fitness test categories and a log of all workouts and units completed.
Secondary assessments may accompany some units.
