Basketball - (Team & Individual Sports)
During this unit students will learn the rules, skills, and concepts of basketball through small-sided competitive games and skill specific games. The focus will be on skill improvement and game understanding, while also emphasizing fitness concepts including cardiovascular benefits and effort. Enduring Understandings*: TS-1; TS-3, TS-4 Strength Training/Cardiovascular Exercises - (Fitness) During this unit students will have access to all fitness concepts, including weight training, group exercises, cardiovascular endurance, and more. Weight room workouts will include concepts of strength training and functional fitness, allowing students to build knowledge within the fitness category or learn new concepts. Students will be able to choose options within the weight room unit to meet their individual goals. Enduring Understandings*: F-1; F-4; F-5; HW-1
